As Mastercard’s EVP Merchant Loyalty, and SessionM’s CEO & Co-Founder, Lars helped build SessionM into the market as a leader for customer data management and engagement, working with the world’s largest and most innovative brands to help them build stronger relationships through smarter engagement. Prior to co-founding SessionM, Lars was at Apple, Inc., where he was a member of the executive team iAd, Apple’s mobile advertising business unit. While at iAd, Lars worked on a variety of initiatives including running partnerships and alliances in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Before Apple, Lars was a Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Business Development at Quattro Wireless, a leading mobile advertising platform that was acquired by Apple in 2010. Prior to Quattro, Lars was Vice President of Business Development at m-Qube, North America’s dominant mobile aggregator that was acquired by VeriSign in 2006. Lars started his career in investment banking and finance on the West Coast, working for Montgomery Securities, and later for an affiliate fund of private equity firm, Texas Pacific Group. Lars has been featured in leading publications like the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fortune and Bloomberg and has been recognized with industry awards like The Boston Globe 100 Most Innovative, Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 and BostonInno 50 on Fire among others. Lars is actively involved in the entrepreneurial community, working closely with a range of venture funds and early stage start-ups along with non-profits like Build Boston, The Posse Foundation and TUGG. Lars received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his AB with honors from Harvard University.
